What's new in Tether Terminal

Your member profile and privacy settings

Add a bio, open your member profile and choose whether academy members can see your study.

• NewOpen your member profile from Settings, add a short bio and choose who can see it. Profiles start visible to academy members; choosing Only you and administrators keeps study details private and removes you from other members' leaderboard.
• NewYour profile brings together your name, photo, bio and join date without exposing your email. Study activity appears once the academy is ready; Tether Terminal has no academy curriculum published yet.

Account recovery without a stalled disconnect

Automatic recovery can move past a stuck connection cleanup instead of leaving account updates waiting behind it.

• FixedWhen Tether Terminal detected an account connection that needed replacing, it could spend minutes waiting for the old connection to disconnect before starting a fresh one. That wait could also hold up updates for other accounts. Recovery now limits this cleanup wait and starts a separate connection for the affected account. Reconnecting still depends on your broker being reachable and the account finishing its sync.

Arrows and price levels for your past trades

Your closed trades now show on the chart as arrows at each entry and exit, the entry, stop and target levels, or both. Your colour schemes can set the entry, line and exit colours.

• NewChart settings has a new Trade history display menu. Executions puts an arrow at each entry and exit, pointing up for a buy and down for a sell, and draws a line from the entry to every exit, so a trade closed in parts shows each part. Price levels draws the entry price and the stop loss and take profit recorded for the trade, across the time it was open. Both, the default, draws the two together.
• NewColour schemes have Entry color, Line color and Exit color under Trade history, set separately for dark and light mode. Leave one blank and it follows each trade's win or loss colour. Entry color also colours the entry level.
• ImprovedYour choice is saved in this browser and stays when you reload or change scheme. The Journal's charts draw your trades the same way. It replaces the Entry marker and Stop and target levels switches in the colour editor.
• FixedTrades on symbols that your broker names with lowercase letters, such as EURUSD.z, were listed in History but not drawn on the chart. They're drawn now. On an account's History tab, the symbol filter no longer turns what you type into capitals, so type the symbol the way your broker writes it.

Charts that keep their own drawings and sizes

In a multi-chart layout, each chart keeps its own drawings, one drawing toolbar serves every chart, the crosshair follows time across intervals, and each arrangement remembers its sizes.

• ImprovedA drawing now belongs to the chart you draw it on, so two EURUSD charts can carry different marks. Drawings you made before stay shared by every chart of their symbol and show a link icon in the object tree. Right-click a drawing or group there and choose Sync with charts of this symbol to share it, or Show only on this chart to keep it to one chart.
• ImprovedOne drawing toolbar and one quick drawing toolbar serve the whole layout. Pick a tool, then draw on any chart. The selected chart now has a rounded outline.
• ImprovedWith Crosshair sync on, hovering any chart moves the crosshair on the others. Charts on the same symbol show the same price as well as the time, even on another interval, and a longer interval marks the bar that contains that time. Charts on another symbol show only the time, and a chart whose screen doesn't reach that time keeps its crosshair on the nearest edge bar instead of scrolling.
• NewIn a grid, each row splits on its own. Double-click any divider, or focus it and press Home, to set every chart back to equal sizes. Each arrangement remembers its sizes, so going from a four-chart grid to two charts and back brings the grid back as you left it.
• NewType a number with a chart selected, or click the interval in its status line, to open Change interval. Enter minutes, or a number and a unit such as 4h or 1d, and press Enter. Typed symbols and intervals go to the selected chart wherever the pointer is.
• ImprovedDuplicate copies each chart's own drawings into the new layout. Deleting a layout also removes the drawings and indicators that only its charts used, and shared drawings stay.
• FixedOn a narrow chart, the status line leaves out a price that doesn't fit instead of cutting it off, and a selected drawing's toolbar wraps to stay inside the chart.
• FixedThe selected chart's outline now follows the chart's own rounded corners, without a second gray band inside it, and is a softer gray in dark mode. Keyboard focus uses the same outline, and the maximize button fits inside the corner.

Seven more currencies in News

The calendar and the chart's event flags now cover EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, JPY and CHF as well as USD, with release times from official agencies and central banks.

• NewCalendar and chart flags show upcoming releases for EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, JPY and CHF from official sources, among them Eurostat, the European Central Bank, Destatis, the Office for National Statistics, Statistics Canada, the Bank of Canada, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Reserve Bank of Australia, Stats NZ, and Japan's Statistics Bureau and Cabinet Office. For now these show when each release is due and link to the source. Actual and previous values are still US-only.
• NewBank of England, Bank of Japan, Swiss National Bank and Reserve Bank of New Zealand decisions are listed as Schedule only, with a link to the bank.
• NewA release with a date but no announced time says Time not announced, with the source's time zone. On the chart its flag carries a ? and sits at the start of that day.
• ImprovedChart flags that would overlap now merge into one flag with a count. Point to it to see every release it holds.

News, with official economic releases

News is out of development. Turn it on in Settings to follow the week's US economic releases and agency publications, and to see releases as flags on your charts.

• NewNews is off until you turn it on in Settings → Navigation. It needs a role that includes News.
• NewCalendar lists the week's releases from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Census Bureau, the Department of Labor and the Federal Reserve Board, with the time, impact, actual and previous values and a link to the agency. Filter by currency, impact and time zone, step through the weeks, and export a week as CSV. The top of the tab shows the next release with a countdown, today's counts and the four market sessions.
• NewOpen a release to see the first value the agency published, the previous value, any later revision, its publication history and why it has its impact level.
• NewThe News tab lists official publications from the same agencies, with filters for currency and agency and a link to each source.
• NewIn the terminal, Chart settings → Economic calendar events → Show events on chart puts a flag on the time axis for each release. Point to a flag for the release's values, or click it to keep the card open. High impact only and This symbol's currencies are on to begin with.
• ImprovedOn Macro, the Live news and Economic calendar cards say Available and link to News once you've turned it on.

Prop firm profiles

Accounts has a library of prop firm rules, 68 firms and 1,656 programs and account sizes. Save the ones you trade, and keep one beside the account you trade with that firm.

• NewProp firm profiles, at the top of Accounts, lists 68 prop firms across forex and CFDs, futures, crypto and perpetuals, each with its logo. Search for your firm or filter by market, then choose the program and account size you bought to see its profit target, daily and maximum loss, profit split and payout frequency.
• NewEach rule says whether its figure was cross-checked against the firm's own published rules, with a link to them, or comes from the Prop Firm Match listing. Firm sources and verification lists every source and the date it was retrieved.
• NewAdd profile keeps a profile under Your saved profiles, with its rules as they were on the day you saved it. You can save profiles for any market, before you connect an account.
• NewEach account you own can keep one forex or CFD profile. Add it under Prop firm reference rules on the account's rules page, or choose it while you connect the account.
• NewSaved profiles are for reference. They don't change the account's rules or hold back any order.

Drawing fixes, colour editing and screenshot text styles

Right-click the chart to edit the colours it shows. One undo removes a new drawing, a drawing's end drags without selecting it first, and screenshot text can be bold, italic or a heading.

• ImprovedRight-click the chart and choose Settings… to edit the colour scheme the chart shows. Default and Monochrome are built in and never change, so saving an edit of one keeps your changes as your own scheme, named "Default (edited)" for example, and switches the chart to it. In Chart settings, the pencil beside Default and Monochrome does the same.
• ImprovedThe chart's other settings, such as the grid, session clocks, status line, time zone and crosshair, are now under Chart options… in the right-click menu, as well as behind the gear in the chart toolbar.
• FixedOne Ctrl+Z (⌘Z on a Mac), or one click on Undo, removes a drawing you've just placed, brush strokes included. Before, the first press did nothing while the new drawing was still saving.
• FixedDragging a drawing's end knob reshapes that end instead of moving the whole drawing, on short drawings and higher intervals too. You no longer need to select the drawing first.
• ImprovedWhile you drag a drawing or one of its handles, the crosshair and its price and time labels follow the pointer, so you can line a point up with a candle. With the magnet on, they snap with it. Dragging an order's or position's price line does the same.
• FixedFib retracement labels and level text placed in the middle of a level line, where they go by default, sit in a gap in the line instead of being crossed by it, as trend-line text already did.
• ImprovedIn the screenshot editor, a mark you place is selected and the editor goes back to Select and move, so you can move or restyle it straight away. Pen and Highlighter stay picked for the next stroke.
• NewScreenshot text can be Bold, Italic or a Heading, one and a half times the size. Press Ctrl+B or Ctrl+I while you type (⌘B and ⌘I on a Mac).
• ImprovedEach screenshot tool remembers its own colour and stroke in this browser, and Text remembers its style, so a tool starts the way you last used it.
• ImprovedSpotlight has padding of 0, 8, 16 or 32 px around the area, an optional dashed outline and a darker dim, which now covers pixelated areas too. Pixelated areas show a border while you edit, and the saved PNG leaves it out.
• ImprovedOnce selected, rectangles, ellipses, pixelated areas and spotlights can be resized from their corners. Numbered steps are smaller, and lines and text a little thinner.
• FixedIn the Tether Terminal desktop app with the menu in the sidebar, the chart toolbar sits at the top of the window. The top half of its buttons, such as the intervals, Screenshot and Full screen, didn't respond, and a click could take the window out of full screen. Every toolbar button now responds anywhere on it, and you can still drag the window by the sidebar header or the toolbar's empty space.

Pages that open after an update

When Tether Terminal updates while your window is open, a page you haven't opened yet now loads the new version instead of turning the whole window blank.

• FixedEach update replaces the app's files, so a window still running the previous version can't load a page it hasn't opened yet. The app reloaded to pick up the new version, but only the first time for each page. After that, the whole window went blank, with no menu and only "Something went wrong!". Now the page reloads onto the new version by itself, in the browser and in the desktop app. If that reload lands while the update is still rolling out, the page shows "This page needs the latest version" with a Reload button, and the app's menu stays in place.
• ImprovedAny other error on a page now shows inside the app as "This page hit an error", with Try again, Reload and the error details. The app's menu stays in place, so you can move to another page. Before, the error replaced the whole window.

Positions that catch up after a long reload

When the service that follows your accounts reloads long trade histories after a restart, it no longer gets stuck reloading them, so Positions and Orders start updating again.

• FixedTether Terminal follows your accounts through a background service. When it restarts, it reloads each account's deals and orders and queues them for Tether Terminal. That queue has a size limit. When long histories overflowed it, the service dropped the oldest updates first, which could cut off the start of an account's reload. Tether Terminal refused the incomplete reload and asked for that account again, and each new reload overflowed the queue again, so the service never caught up. Meanwhile Positions and Orders stopped updating on every account. Now an overflow drops a whole reload, never just its start, and the service reloads that account once more. Accounts waiting to reload take turns, a reload still waiting to be sent answers any new request for the same account, and the queue holds more.

A clock for each trading session

The chart's top-right corner shows Asia, London and New York, with the time in each city and a countdown to the session's close or next open.

• NewThe top-right corner of the chart lists Asia, London and New York. Each row shows the time in that city, a green dot while the session is open, and a live countdown to its close, or to its next open while it's closed. At the weekend each session counts down to its Monday open.
• NewSession hours follow each city's own clock, Monday to Friday. Asia is 09:00 to 18:00 Tokyo time, London 08:00 to 17:00 London time and New York 08:00 to 17:00 New York time, so the hours stay right in the weeks when only London or only New York has changed to or from summer time.
• NewChart settings has a Session clocks menu. Turn the clocks off with Show on the chart, or switch from 24-hour time (14:05) to 12-hour time (2:05 pm). Both choices are saved in this browser.
• FixedIndicator values in the chart's top-right corner stop at the price scale, so they no longer cover the top price labels.

Lessons that complete on their own

Video and PDF lessons in the Academy now complete once you've watched or read them, and reopen where you left off.

• NewA video lesson completes on its own once you've watched 90% of it. Only the parts that play count, so skipping ahead doesn't. A PDF lesson completes once you've viewed every page. In a course whose lessons unlock in order, that unlocks the next lesson too.
• ImprovedThe line beside Mark complete shows how far you are, for example "You have watched 42%" or "2 of 4 pages viewed". Mark complete still works for any lesson.
• NewVideo and PDF lessons reopen where you left off, at the point in the video or the PDF page you last viewed.
• NewThe Academy records your time on each lesson, how much of each video you watch and the pages you read, without a timer. Administrators, and anyone whose role includes View learner activity, a new permission under People > Roles, have access to this record. It holds how many notes you write, not what they say.
• ImprovedThe study timer stays as an optional focus session. Today, Total and Session history still show only the time you timed.

A learning homepage in the Academy

The Academy now opens on your own learning homepage, with your progress, a year of learning activity and every course in one place.

• NewThe Academy opens on a learning homepage. It shows the lessons you've completed in each course, your progress through core lessons and community recordings, a 53-week activity grid with your streaks and a weekly target, a card for each course, the full curriculum structure, and the courses coming next.
• NewMark complete under each lesson. A lesson counts once toward your progress, and completing one makes the day active.
• NewCourses can unlock their lessons in order. A locked lesson names the lesson to complete first, and lessons you've completed stay open to review.
• ImprovedStudy timing is optional. Opening a lesson no longer starts the timer; it runs once you click Start study session. Session history starts folded and opens into a short list grouped by day.
• NewAdministrators get an Academy settings page to set each course's type and turn on sequential learning, and can announce upcoming courses from the homepage.

Positions that catch up quickly after an update

When we release an update, the service that follows your accounts now starts once, so Positions and Orders no longer pause for a few minutes.

• FixedTether Terminal follows your accounts through a background service. When we release an update, a new copy of the service takes over your accounts from the old one. The old copy restarted as soon as it handed over and took your accounts back, so the new copy had to start again and reload every account's history. Meanwhile Positions and Orders could stop updating for a few minutes. Now the old copy waits a minute before it restarts, and the update removes it before then, so the new copy starts once. If the old copy is the one that stays, it still restarts after that minute and takes your accounts back.

Positions that keep updating after a restart

When the service that follows your accounts restarts, one failed check-in no longer stops it, so Positions and Orders keep updating.

• FixedTether Terminal follows your accounts through a background service, which restarts from time to time, for example when we release an update. If its first check-in failed after a restart, the service stopped working but never shut down, so Positions and Orders stopped updating on every account until someone restarted it by hand. Now a failed first check-in is retried like any later one. If the service can't start at all, it shuts down and restarts by itself.

Positions that come back after a dropped connection

If the live connection to one of your accounts drops and doesn't come back while your broker is still reachable, Tether Terminal now reconnects that account by itself.

• FixedTether Terminal follows each account over a live connection through MetaApi. If that connection dropped and MetaApi couldn't restore it while your broker was still reachable, Positions and Orders stopped updating and could keep showing trades your broker had already closed until the service was restarted. Now, when an account's connection has been down for two minutes, Tether Terminal checks that your broker still answers and, if it does, reconnects that account by itself.

Positions that keep up after a resync

When MetaApi resynchronises one of your accounts, Tether Terminal now reloads only the trades it hasn't loaded yet, so Positions and Orders catch up in moments.

• FixedMetaApi resynchronises each account every so often, for example when it moves the account to another server. Tether Terminal used to reload the account's whole trade history before showing anything new, so on an account with a long history, Positions and Orders could take half a minute or more to catch up, and other accounts' updates waited behind it. A resync now reloads only the trades Tether Terminal hasn't already loaded.

Cleaner drawings and a quick measure

Drawings are easier to select and style, a zone can sit behind the candles, and Shift-drag measures a move without drawing anything.

• NewWith no drawing tool picked, hold Shift and drag across the chart to measure a move in price, percent, pips, bars and time. Nothing is saved, and the measurement goes when you let go.
• NewMove below candles puts a drawing behind the candles, so a filled zone no longer hides them. It's on a drawing's right-click menu, its Visibility tab and the object tree.
• ImprovedA selected drawing keeps its line weight and shows only its handles. Where drawings overlap, a click picks the nearest one, so a filled shape no longer catches clicks meant for a line. Text centred on a line breaks the line around it.
• ImprovedNew drawings start with the last style you gave that tool. Template › Reset to factory goes back to the built-in style.
• ImprovedNote is now a white label with dark text and takes Callout's place in the toolbar. Text, Note, Price note and Signpost open ready to type, and the Highlighter draws a broad, see-through stroke again.
• ImprovedThe colour palette starts with a Brand row, colours you add are saved to your account, and line styles are picked from icons.
• ImprovedWith the magnet on, the crosshair snaps to the price your click will use.
• FixedWeekly, monthly and yearly charts always show the bar that's still forming, and it moves with live prices.
• FixedRight-clicking near the bottom of the chart opens the menu instead of choosing whichever item opened under the pointer.

A live watchlist across all your accounts

Every watchlist row now shows a live price and daily change, whichever account the chart is on.

• ImprovedRows from your other broker accounts quote live, with last price, change and change %. Up to four accounts in a watchlist stay connected at once.
• ImprovedMoving the chart to another account is instant and keeps the rest of the list live, with no blank rows.
• ImprovedA row whose account is still connecting reads Waiting. Unavailable now only means the account can't connect, for example because it's archived or past the four-account limit.

A steadier broker connection

The terminal now notices when prices stop, reconnects on its own, and holds new orders until the connection is back.

• NewIf live prices stop updating during market hours, the terminal restarts the price feed by itself and tells you while prices are delayed.
• ImprovedNew orders pause while the terminal reconnects or the broker link is down. A market order on a price more than 10 seconds old asks you to confirm first.
• ImprovedClosing, editing and cancelling stay available. They wait up to 10 seconds for the broker and send nothing if it can't be reached.
• ImprovedIf the broker doesn't confirm an order in time, the terminal checks it against your account and shows Order not confirmed instead of a failure, so you know to look at Positions before trying again.
• ImprovedRenewing the connection no longer pauses trading every 40 to 55 minutes. A failed connection retries by itself, and Retry starts it straight away.
• FixedSymbols saved in the wrong letter case, such as EURUSD.Z on a broker that lists EURUSD.z, get live prices again.

Bar replay with simulated trading

Replay past price action bar by bar and practise trades against it, with no real orders sent.

• NewStart Bar replay from a date or bar you pick, on the current chart or on all charts. Play, pause, step one bar at a time or change speed, then return to live.
• NewPlace simulated market, limit and stop orders with stop loss and take profit. Set the starting balance, commission and slippage.
• NewFollow balance, equity, P&L and maximum drawdown as the session runs. Results stay in the browser tab, up to 10 sessions per symbol, so export the trades as CSV to keep them.
• ImprovedBars after the replay point stay hidden until you reach them, and real orders are blocked while replay is on.

Multi-chart layouts

Put up to 16 charts on one screen, each with its own symbol and interval, and save the arrangement as a named layout.

• NewArrange 1 to 16 charts side by side, stacked or in a grid. Each chart keeps its own symbol, interval and studies.
• NewSync the symbol, interval, crosshair, time or date range across a layout. Maximize one chart and restore it, or drag the dividers to resize.
• NewSave, rename, duplicate and delete layouts, and load any of them from the layout menu.
• NewChart settings → Status line picks what the line above each chart shows, from the symbol and interval to OHLC values, price change, bid and ask, and spread.
• ImprovedThe dividers between the charts and the side panels are now a quiet gap that shows a line only when you hover or drag.

Smoother sign-in

Signing in now shows one loading screen instead of two placeholders flashing one after the other.

• ImprovedOne loading animation runs from sign-in until your workspace opens, without restarting between screens.
• ImprovedQuick loads skip the loading screen, and the animation holds still if your device is set to reduce motion.

Assistant fix for Claude Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1

The assistant now answers when you pick Claude Opus 5.5 or Fable 5.1 in its model menu.

• FixedBoth models rejected the way the assistant asked them to use its tools, so every message failed. The assistant now asks them in a form they accept. Other models are unchanged.

Tether Terminal on your phone

Every page now fits a phone screen, and the terminal has a layout made for one.

• NewOn a phone the chart runs the full width of the screen. Tap Trade to open the order ticket in a sheet, with the chart still in view so you can drag the stop and target.
• NewThe watchlist opens in its own sheet, and the drawing tools sit behind a toggle.
• ImprovedAccounts, Analysis, Academy, Community and the assistant reflow on narrow screens instead of cutting content off.
• ImprovedThe account management table turns into cards, and filters and tabs wrap or scroll to fit.

Logo sizing for community brands

Wide and tall logos now sit cleanly in the navigation.

Trade copier and the AI assistant

Copy a master account into followers without leaving the platform, and ask an assistant that cites its sources.
